Fluxor was a concept I came up with for the Building Woman Festival in Green River Utah in May 2023. Fluxor was born from upcycled objects (aka jenk) found at the eclectic Jenkstar Ranch where the festival was held. The body is constructed from an old industrial farm drum structure, while the head is made from an old steel barrel and wheelbarrow parts, accentuated by an assortment of scrap steel pieces like saw blades and engine parts.
In addition to designing and welding the entire structure, I designed and built the propane poof effect! This project was the culmination of many of my passions and has become one of my all-time favorite creations. Shout out to Scotty Soltronic for providing me guidance, access to some incredible jenk, and creative freedom to make this project so badass.
This is only phase 1 of the Fluxor project. Stay tuned for a more dragon-link body, and a head that swivels and snaps his jaws!
